Benchtop Centrifuges

Benchtop centrifuges are versatile, medium-sized laboratory equipment commonly found in research and clinical labs. They are designed to separate components in liquid samples by spinning them at high speeds. Unlike microcentrifuges, benchtop centrifuges can handle larger sample volumes, typically ranging from 5 milliliters to several liters, depending on the specific model. They are equipped with various rotor types, allowing them to accommodate different tube and container sizes.

Benchtop centrifuges are widely used in a variety of laboratory applications. In clinical and diagnostic labs, they are used for blood and urine analysis, such as separating plasma or serum from blood cells. In molecular biology and biochemistry, they are used for protein purification, DNA/RNA extraction, and the isolation of organelles or cells. They also play a key role in preparing samples for further analysis, such as concentrating particles or removing contaminants. In addition, benchtop centrifuges are used in industrial and environmental testing labs, for example, to process water samples or for the analysis of food products. The flexibility of these centrifuges makes them an essential piece of equipment in many laboratory environments, providing reliable separation and purification of biological, chemical, and environmental samples.
