pH & Electrochemistry

pH and electrochemistry testing equipment are used to measure and analyze the chemical properties of solutions, particularly their acidity, basicity, and electrochemical behavior. pH testing involves measuring the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution to determine its pH level, which indicates whether the solution is acidic, neutral, or alkaline. This is commonly done using a pH meter equipped with a glass electrode. pH testing is widely used in fields such as environmental science, chemistry, and biology to monitor water quality, calibrate buffers, or test the pH of solutions during chemical reactions.

Electrochemistry testing involves studying the electrical properties of solutions, such as conductivity, voltage, and redox potential. This can include techniques like potentiometry, voltammetry, and conductivity measurements, which provide valuable insights into the electrochemical behavior of substances. Electrochemistry quipment such as ion-selective electrodes (ISEs), reference electrodes, potentiostats, and conductivity meters are used. These tools measure parameters like ion concentration, electrochemical reactions, or the electrical conductivity of a solution, and are crucial for applications in battery testing, corrosion studies, environmental monitoring, and chemical analysis.
