The Q700 sonicator from Qsonica is the only sonicator on the market that offers full amplitude control from 1 to 100 percent. It is because of this that enables greater control of the probe's intensity; helping to pinpoint the optimum settings for efficient sample volumes. A truly important feature of a sonicator is reproducibility. Internal circuitry has improved, therefore guaranteeing more efficient operation, sample-to-sample consistency, and most importantly a reliable end result.
The maximum power output of the Q700 has been increased by 100 watts which makes the system much more durable and capable of handling larger sample volumes. Its boasts a new display, brilliant design improvements, and additional accessories that make it the most sophisticated and versatile ultrasonic liquid processing sonicator available today.
Features
Touch Screen Control
The Q700 sonicator boasts a large, brilliant color LCD touch screen that displays all operating parameters and options clearly.
Full Amplitude Control
This is the feature that sets the Q700 sonicator apart from all other sonification devices. Amplitude (intensity) is controlled from 1 to 100 percent which gives a greater degree of resolution and the ability to pinpoint the amplitude needed to effectively process your sample.
Programmability
Processing times, pulse on and off, and amplitude parameters can be saved to memory and run by a simple touch of a button. Versatility at your finger tips.
Pulse Mode
Pulse on and off times are adjustable to reduce the heat gain in termperature sensitive samples.
Run Multiple Programs in Sequence
The Q700 is able to run multiple programs in sequence. For example, it can be programmed to sonicate at 50 percent amplitude for 5 minutes, shut off for 2 minutes, and re-start again at 25 percent amplitude for 10 minutes. Up to 5 programs can be run in succession.
Total Energy Output Display
Energy output to the sonicator probe is displayed in both Watts and Joules.
Auto Tuning
Frequency changes in the converter and tip assembly caused by load and temperature changes are digitally tracked by the sonicator at all times. Because of this, electrical efficiency is maintained consistently. Manual tuning commonly found among older systems is no longer necessary.
Overload Protection
Fault detection circuitry will teminate sonication in the event an error is detected.
Temperature Monitoring
Optional temperature probe is available for those who wish to monitor the temperature of their sample. If temperature limit is reached, sonication shuts down preventing overheating.
RoHS Compliant
The new and improved Q700 sonicator is built lead free.

HOW A SONICATOR WORKS
A sonicator uses three major components; a generator, a converter, and a probe. The generator generate high electrical energy from A/C voltage and delivers it to the converter in 20 kHz pulses. The piezoelectric converter then converts this energy into mechanical vibrations. These vibrations are then amplified and transmitted down the probe, where the probe tip expands and contracts. In liquid, the rapid vibration of the tip causes cavitation which allows for the processing of many applications.
Note: Sonicators produce high decibel noise above OSHA recommended exposure levels. A Sound Enclosure (#432B) is recommended with the purchase of each Sonicator unit.
