Lab Companion vertical laminar flow hoods, or clean benches, are ideal for microbiological research, cell culture work, sample preparation, pharmaceutical compounding, and other procedures that require a sterile and controlled environment. The downward airflow helps to protect the work area from external contamination and provides a clean workspace for handling sensitive materials.
These flow hoods can be used on any existing work surface or bench large enough to support their size and weight. An optional stand assembly with casters provides a stable and portable worksurface.
Lab Companion BC-B flow hoods include ISO Class 4 (US Class 10) HEPA filter, capable of removing particulates 0.3um or larger with 99.99% efficiency. A pre-filter removes larger particulates, helping to extend the life of the HEPA filter. The typical life-span of the HEPA filter is 3 years, but is dependent upon the environment it is used within. Both filters are cartridge-style and easy to replace, with convenient access directly from the front of the unit. HEPA filter and pre-filter replacements are available for purchase.
