Benchmark Scientific's PlateFuge features a uniquely designed swing out rotor for spinning two microplates simultaneously. Upon acceleration, the microplates swing into a horizontal position which quickly concentrates samples into the well bottoms.
PlateFuge is simple to use with simple start and stop by opening and closing the lid. Close the lid and PlateFuge accelerates quickly to 2550 rpm and g-force of 600 xg. Samples can be spun down in less than 20 seconds. To end the run, open the lid and the automatic electric brake brings the rotor to a smooth, quick stop in just 4 seconds.
The PlateFuge microplate centrifuge includes a 2 x PCR plate rotor. The rotor can accommodate most microplates and microtiter plates including skirted and non-skirted.
